But if you have found weirder, PLEASE let us know, There's nothing we like more than weird stuff!

1. Immortality
Sea Anemones that live forever
This sea anemone is pretty weird as it looks more like a strawberry than a strawberry does. But what makes anemones even weirder is that they are effectively immortal. They don't age but constantly reproduce their cells - so replenish themselves all the time with new youthful cells. Much cheaper than anti-aging creams.
2. Re-buildability
Gentlemen, we can rebuild him
Starfish are know to be able to re-grown an arm that they lose. But this tiny starfish arm is growing itself a whole new body! Who needs technology?!
3. Ssssssssss
Snakes alive!
This snake was found on the beach wriggling between the sun bathers. Adders often find themselves on the beach, falling from the dunes or cliffs above. Keep your distance, they can bite!
4. Growing pains
Height Enhancer
One day on a Devon beach, hundreds of bottles of 'height enhancer' were washed up. Where had they come from? How tall is the person who drank them all???!
5. Big Fish
Eel be well hidden
This massive eel washed up in a harbour, sadly dead. These large eels are pretty common - the weird thing is that we very rarely see them.
6. Fancy crab
In his glad rags
Spider crabs are quite happy when things attach themselves to their carapace as it helps them to keep hidden amongst the rocks and weeds around them. This crab, however, was sporting a vey fancy high hat of whelk eggs. Must be a eggstra-special occasion!
7. Very fancy slug
A slug like no other
What is it? A hairbrush? A pin cushion? Turns oout this is sea slug shining brightly.

8. What is it????
From outer space???
The messages we get with the most question marks are about these weird creatures. We have even been asked if they are extra-terrestrial...?? In fact, they are goose barnacles - a relative of shrimps and crabs. They stick their legs out of their white plated shells and wave them in the water to feed.

8. A floating thief
Stop thief!!
These floating balls of air are actually a type of sea weed. The goat air pockets float on the surface of the sea, but anchor themselves. They got the name, Oyster Thief, as attaching themselves to oysters, they can float away with them leaving the oyster farmer seething.
9. Sea Woodlouse
Not like your garden woodlouse
The woodlice in your garden are not, in fact, the most common form of woodlouse. Their marine cousins are, in fact, much more common, and often much bigger, like this sea slater.
10. Mice in the Sea?
When is a mouse not a mouse?
Thsi sea mouse is, in fact a worm. There is a wide range of marine worms but you would be forgiven for thiking that this hairy bundle would be better placed in a hamster cage!
