I would like to tell you that there is purpose to 5p Friday but I can't. It was a Friday, I found something small, and needed to show just how small it was for a photo. All I could find for scale was a 5p coin.
Tiny wentletrap shells.
An extremely small cushion star - it makes a 5p coin looks enormous.
How many pieces of beach glass can you get on a 5p coin I wondered. After about an hour of trying, the answer is not many at all...
I love these little shells but have only ever found them on one beach. They are pheasant shells (tricolia pullus) and are covered in beautiful red swirls and lines.
Not one shell but two!
Tiny little sea snails.
What a party! A pink chiton, a top shell, cushion star and spirorbis worms
Ten shells on a 5p coin. Quite the achievement. I had to go for a lie down after this.
A pair of cockles shells.
Any 5p photos you'd like to share?
